Ms. Montenegro is an associate at Righi Hernandez. Her current practice includes the representation of contractors and businesses in tort and construction litigation, primarily in the areas of construction defects, complex litigation, general liability, product liability and insurance defense.
Ms. Montenegro is an Arizona native and grew up in central Phoenix. After graduating from North High School's International Baccalaureate Program, she attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. There she graduated with Honors and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While attending LMU she studied international business in Bonn, Germany, and international business communication in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Ms. Montenegro then attended the University of Arizona College of Law and graduated early in December 2007. In law school she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gus Aragon in Pima County Superior Court, participated in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Pro Bono Project and the Volunteer Lawyer's Program. She was on the board of the Law Women's Association, the Student Bar Association, the Hispanic Law Student's Association, the Administrative Executive Committee and served as president of the International Law Society.
Ms. Montenegro is a member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and has served on the board of the AADC Young Lawyers Division since 2009. She also serves on the State Bar of Arizona Young Lawyers Division Pro Bono Committee. She currently volunteers with the Arizona Animal Welfare League and is a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Junior League of Phoenix.
