Jill Ann Herman

Jill Ann Herman was born in Portland, Oregon and resides in Phoenix, Arizona. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1986 from Arizona State University, she attended California Western School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor in 1990. Ms. Herman is admitted to the Arizona Bar, California Bar, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California and District of Arizona.

Since 1991, Jill Ann has practiced in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis in construction defect litigation on behalf of home builders, developers and general contractors, real estate errors and omissions, and fiduciary duty. She has handled numerous multi-million dollar cases on behalf of builders, developers and general contractors to settlement, arbitration or trial. In 2003, Jill Ann second chaired the first major construction defect lawsuit to a verdict in Maricopa County. This verdict became the cornerstorne for homebuilders and insurance companies to evaluate CD claims and manage risk in Arizona.

In 2000, Jill Ann opened the Phoenix office of a well established California construction defect firm where she was the managing partner for 5 years. This entrepreneurial endeavor taught her the importance of diversity, team work, and innovation.

Jill Ann has presented several topics at the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect and MC Consultants, Inc. seminars. In addition, she has presented before the Arizona Maricopa County Superior Court Judge's Roundtable and Arizona Association of Defense Counsel.
